Before your visit
Hygiene, safety and your appointment
Your consultation covers the proposed treatment, relevant health history, consent and care before you decide to proceed. Hygiene precautions are matched to the procedure; they reduce risk without making any treatment risk-free.
Cleaning, disinfection and sterilization
- We use hand hygiene, fresh gloves where required, clean treatment areas and contact surfaces that are cleaned and disinfected between clients. Gloves do not replace hand hygiene.
- For skin-piercing procedures, needles, cartridges, blades and probes intended for single use are sterile and used for one client and one session only. Used sharps are disposed of safely, and single-use items are not reprocessed.
- Reusable instruments are cleaned before the disinfection or sterilization required for their intended use. Items that enter tissue require sterilization; wiping a surface with disinfectant is not the same as sterilizing an instrument. Processing follows the item and equipment instructions.
- Products are handled to avoid contamination, with individual portions and disposable applicators where appropriate. Unused pigment from an individual treatment portion is not returned to the original container or shared with another client.
Precautions for your treatment
- Tell Zoe privately about allergies, previous reactions, medicines, conditions affecting healing, pregnancy or breastfeeding, recent procedures and any active skin or eye concern. Do not stop prescribed medicine on your own. Treatment may be deferred or medical advice requested after assessment.
- Skin and hair condition, the treatment area and the selected products guide suitability and any sensitivity checks. A previous treatment or a negative test cannot rule out a later reaction.
- Eye-area treatments require careful placement and protection. Laser and light procedures use protection matched to the device and treatment area; ordinary sunglasses are not a substitute.
- Your treatment plan includes preparation, written care and follow-up guidance for the actual method. Tell the practitioner immediately if you feel unexpected burning, sharp pain or eye discomfort during treatment.
If you have a concern afterward
- Contact the studio with aftercare questions. Seek prompt medical assessment for spreading redness, increasing pain, pus, fever, burns, blistering or a significant reaction. Eye pain or vision changes need urgent medical care.
- Difficulty breathing or rapidly developing swelling of the lips, tongue or throat needs emergency medical help. Do not wait for a studio reply or a routine review.
Your appointment
How long should I allow, and when can I return to my usual routine?
The appointment length and recovery plan depend on the area, method and any previous work. Zoe discusses the expected time, fresh appearance and restrictions before the appointment is agreed. Mention upcoming events, travel, swimming or exercise so treatment can be planned around the care requirements.
Will treatment be uncomfortable?
Sensation varies with the procedure, area and individual. Discuss expected discomfort and any comfort measures during assessment; a pain-free experience is not promised. Tell the practitioner immediately about unexpected pain or burning.
Does requesting a consultation book my treatment?
A request starts the conversation. Suitability, the proposed steps, availability and your personalized quote are discussed before an appointment is personally confirmed. Confirm any deposit, cancellation or rescheduling terms before paying; additional sessions or touch-ups are not assumed included.
